Our PreK group continues to learn about socialization and to work with others on group projects. Preschool level S.T.E.A.M with an emphasis on the process rather than the result is part of the fun in this class.

We teach the first semester of Kindergarten in this classroom. We don't ask that they master all that we show them, although they probably will and ask for more :) We do this so that when they move onto their next adventure in academics at their next school they won't worry about the academics, just focusing on making new friends.

In our preschool we see children ages 2-5 zooming down the slide, swinging to the sky, digging in the mud pit or a river in our sandbox, using their imagination, building as tall as they can reach, pushing trucks full of treasures such as pinecones or rainbow balls, planting in the garden, making friends, chasing bubbles, dancing, giggling, conducting experiments, jumping with joy under the water mister, lounging with a good book, listening to birds chirp, watching squirrels hide their nuts and much more.
At A Child's Place our mission is to support children’s growth while assisting social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our main emphasis is on building self-esteem and self expression. Our educated and caring staff offers a hands on approach to exploration and appreciation for nature, living things and the outdoors.
We are founding members of the Outdoor Classroom Project
since 2008.
We are also a Demonstration Site for the
Outdoor Classroom Project.
